Current Issue
wH2O is a new special-issue academic journal on women and water and sanitation from the University of Pennsylvania. wH2O is now accepting abstracts from students, faculty, NGOs, and professionals. Appropriate submissions include but are not limited to papers, case studies, opinion pieces photo journalism, interviews and other research with a focus on women/gender and water or sanitation. The first issue will be published online in the spring of 2012. Topics can be international or domestic, but must address the nexus of women and water. Submissions do not have to be in final form, but abstracts should cover the scope of the research project.
A one-page abstract should be submitted by September 30, 2011 to wh2ojournal@gmail.com.
Decisions will be made by October 6, 2011 and authors of selected abstracts will be invited to submit their paper for peer-review and editing.
The first edition will be released in Spring 2012.
We also accept blog posts for rolling acceptance for wh2o’s website. We promote blog posts on Twitter as well. Please send a blog post (~500-800 words) to wh2ojournal@gmail.com. Blog posts should add something to the global discussion of women and water/sanitation issues. Posts can cover research, (respectful) opinion pieces and case studies. Please include your name, a photo, affiliation and contact information. We will review and edit before posting.
